Gail and Pollard Hall of Stafford, Va., are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Lauren Leigh Hall, to Lee Powell Smith, son of Eileen and John Smith of Urbanna, Va.

Their wedding took place May 23, 2009, at Urbanna Baptist Church with the Rev. Alan Jones officiating. A reception was held at Camp Piankatank in Hartfield, Va., where the couple worked as summer counselors.

Erin Hall was the maid of honor for her sister. Bridesmaids were Amy Lust and Lauren Thompson, friends of the bride.

The best man was Steve Gourley and the groomsmen were Monnie Judy and Martin Dillich, all friends of the groom. The groom's brothers, Jay and Talbott Smith, served as ushers.

Lauren is a 2005 graduate of Stafford High and Powell is a 2002 graduate of Middlesex High. The couple graduated together a week before the wedding from VCU with Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in Art Education, Lauren with a minor in Religion.

After a honeymoon to Charleston, S.C., they reside in Richmond, Va. They are employed by Hope Tree Family Services.
