Spitler-Gatz

Jamie L. Gatz, daughter of Charles and Peggy Gatz of Poquoson, Va., and James Alan Spitler, son of James and Cindy Spitler of Fredericksburg, were united in marriage Sept. 12, 2009, at Langley Chapel, Langley Air Force Base, in Hampton. Family friend Fred Hilder was the officiating minister.

Laura Chapman of Richmond was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Diana Fithian of New York, N.Y., Nicole Andrzejewski of Fredericksburg; Amy Henley of Herndon, sister of the groom; and Susie Sanderson of Poquoson. Tracy Edwards served as greeter.

Kyle Farmer of Charlottesville was the best man. Groomsmen were Trevor Spear of Fredericksburg; Geoff Gatz of Virginia Beach, brother of the bride; Casey Russell of King George and P.J. Cox of Myrtle Beach, S.C. Jason Elsasser, Kory York and Ben Cornell, all of Fredericksburg, were ushers.

A Scripture reading was given by Corey Davis.

A reception followed at the Bayside Club, Langley AFB.

The bride holds a bachelor's degree in nuclear medicine from Old Dominion University in Norfolk. She is employed by Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg. The groom earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Ferrum College in Ferrum, Va. He is a store manager for Sprint in Fredericksburg.

The newlyweds enjoyed a honeymoon cruise of the New England coast.
