Dr. and Mrs. Allen Parks of Fredericksburg are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Tessa Anne Parks, to Colby Goetz, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Herold of Fredericksburg and Mr. Michael Goetz of Orlando, Fla.

The marriage took place on October 15, 2011 at 4:30 p.m. at Stevenson Ridge on a clear, sunny, autumn day. The Reverend Amos Healy officiated.

Maid of honor was Julie Sita, bridesmaid was Jami Pennington, longtime near and dear friends of the bride. Best man was Shane Dunlap, and groomsman was Patrick Sykes, close longtime friends of the groom. Ushers were Joshua Parks and Nathan Parks, brothers of the bride, and Lawson Herold and Zachary Goetz, brothers of the groom. The nephew and niece of the bride, Joseph William and Brooklynn Reese, children of Joshua Parks, served as ringbearer and flower girl.

The groom's parents hosted a beautiful, candle lit rehearsal dinner at the Fredericksburg Country Club. Perfect Harmony String Quartet performed lovely, classical music for the ceremony and cocktail hour.

The reception was held at Stevenson Ridge. Caricature artist, Joe Thibodeau, and bagpiper, Fred Woodaman added to the festivities. DJ Brad Trigger was exemplary. The fun with family and friends will always be a wonderful, cherished memory for Tess and Colby.

The bride attended Courtland High School and received her B.S. degree from James Madison University. She is employed by Providence Service Corporation. The groom attended Massaponax High School and received his B.A. from Randolph-Macon. He is employed by Coldwell Banker Elite.

The couple honeymooned in St. Lucia in the Caribbean.
