Plans For The Future

By Charity Faith Cunningham
Civil War Reporter

John Wilkes Booth hated the Presidents plans for the future. Lincolns press release, talking about his plans for the future, angered Booth. Lincoln wanted slaves to have the right to vote. Booth felt that Lincoln was a threat to the southern way of life and because he felt childish and selfish he took our Presidents life. But Booths plan of puplic distruction failed because even though Lincoln was gone his memory lives on and African Americans have the right to vote.
