Date published: 11/12/2002

A 25-year-old Caroline man is spending some time in the regional jail after being stopped for speeding last Friday.

Toymaine Coley was allegedly clocked doing 64 in a 45 mile per hour zone on US 1 near Thornburg.

Sheriff's Major Howard Smith says Coley allegedly smelled of marijuana and consented to a personal search. The deputy allegedly found $545 cash on Coley. A subsequent search of his newly purchased Cadillac allegedly turned up 28 baggies of crack and 4 bags of marijuana.

Coley is charged with possession with intent to distribute crack, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and.... speeding. He's being held on "no" bond.

Coley's new Cadillac? That was impounded.
