Briefs ; Colonial Forge High offers sports physicals; Stafford County wrestling camp; Adult men's basketball league begins in April

The Colonial Forge High School Athletic Boosters are sponsoring sports physicals, 1-4 p.m., May 3. The physicals will be good for various clubs, Scouts and camps as well as for high school athletics. The cost is $10.

The 2003 Stafford County Wrestling Camp will take place at North Stafford High School July 14-18.

The camp, which runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., is for rising second-through 12th-graders.

All ability levels are welcome.

The Stafford County Department of Parks and Recreation is offering the Adult Men's Basketball League in the spring. The season will begin April 14 and teams will play a 10-game schedule and a single-elimination tournament.

Games will be played Mondays through Thursdays at the county middle schools. The league registration fee is $375 per team, and checks should be made payable to the County of Stafford.

The Men's Adult Spring League will be limited to 16 teams and will be divided into two divisions. A team application and a $100 nonrefundable deposit are due April 4. The league will accept teams of C, D, and church caliber only. A team may have up to 12 players on its roster, but at least 60 percent (7 of 12 players) must be residents of Stafford County.

Teams must submit their rosters and final payment at the organizational meeting at 7 p.m. on April 10 at the Courthouse Community Center. Incomplete rosters will not be accepted; each player's signature is required. Participation in the league requires that all deadlines be met and that complete roster information be submitted. Teams that fail to meet the deadlines or do not submit complete information will not be accepted into the league.
