Colonial Forge High School's Sound and Guard Marching Band spent the dog days of summer getting ready for its fall performances. ABOVE: Drum Major Amanda Kastner marshals the group during the beginning of band camp. TOP: Along the way, senior Charlie Hareford hones his trumpet skills and RIGHT: the color guard learned its routine. It was all pulled together for the band's first performance on evening of Aug. 27, the last day of band camp.
