Having a living will can help eliminate disputes over your wishes if you become incapacitated.
Spokeswoman Judy Murphy of Hospice Support Care in Fredericksburg says talking about dying is hard.
She says they have a document they called 5 wishes that helps families discuss important issues. It allows them to talk to their family members about what they want. It protects them if they become seriously ill and their family members from having to make hard choices.
Murphy says you can pick up a copy of 5 wishes at the Hospice Support Care office on Fall Hill Avenue.
