Alan Lee Childs

Alan Lee Childs, 38, of Ashland, formerly of Caroline County, died Friday, Aug. 19, 2005, at Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center in Mechanicsville.

He was the son of the late James R. Childs Sr. Survivors include his mother, Eva L. Childs; four sisters; two brothers; aunts and uncles; and other relatives.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at St. John Baptist Church, Milford. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The body may be viewed from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, Bowling Green, and one hour before the service time Thursday at the church.
