A Stafford County man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after film he took to be processed at a CVS store revealed photos of marijuana, police said.
The suspect appeared in pictures that were developed on the same roll, Stafford authorities said.
Personnel at the CVS at 388 Garrisonville Road in Stafford called the county Sheriff's Office about 2 p.m. Tuesday after developing photos that showed marijuana plants, said Stafford sheriff's Maj. David Decatur.
Stafford sheriff's Deputy B.D. Miller went to the store and waited in the parking lot, Decatur said. A man arrived at the store who looked like a person pictured in the roll of film containing the marijuana photos.
The man, 20-year-old Stafford resident Anthony Maurice Hoyle Jr. paid for the pictures at the CVS, Decatur said. The deputy smelled marijuana on Hoyle and found a small amount of the drug on him, Decatur said.
Miller then got permission to search Hoyle's home on Swedish Elm Circle in Stafford, Decatur said. He found 17 marijuana plants in Hoyle's bedroom closet, Decatur said.
Hoyle was charged with manufacturing marijuana and possession of marijuana, Decatur said.
