Redskins Park buzz is genuine page 2

Date published: 7/30/2006

Saunders is just a small reason why Redskins executives and fans are so eager for the start of the 2006 campaign. On paper, Washington looks as well-built and talented as any franchise in football--not just this year but in the past several years. Unfortunately, paper doesn't help a team win football games.

With the start of camp just a day away, and many picking the Redskins to be one of the final teams standing in the NFC, there's a great deal of pressure on Washington to succeed. Unlike in years past, not getting deep into the playoffs this season would be seen as a failed effort. It's an effort that begins tomorrow, when the Redskins take to the practice fields for the first time this summer.
