The grazing method
As unusual as it sounds, eating up to six small meals a day will help increase your metabolism and help you shed unwanted pounds. When trying to lose weight, using your food as energy instead of comfort is the way to go, and eating often is a sure way to get your body used to burning off calories quickly and efficiently.
A natural diet drug
It's a good idea to incorporate green tea into your diet. Again, increasing your metabolism is one of the best ways to get fit and thin, and green tea is full of vitamins and antioxidants to get you feeling good. Green tea has long been a "secret weapon" of health experts, and is found in many natural weight loss pills and medicines.
Burn it and earn it
Getting active is another healthy alternative to bulimia and anorexia. Those who begin workout regimens see results in a matter of weeks, and begin to have healthy body images for life.
For people who don't necessarily like to work out, a good alternative is yoga. Yoga is relaxing, gets one's heart rate up and is excellent way to get fit. One doesn't have to be super-athletic to engage in it, and yoga is sure not only to help with pesky weight problems, but also to induce a healthy self-image and mental well-being, as meditating is a big part.
Eat smarter
The effects that a healthy diet has on your weight-loss endeavors are endless. When carbs make up a small portion of your diet and you eat up to three servings of dairy a day, you'd be amazed at the difference you see in your overall personal health.
Small tricks to remember
It's hard to burn off the fat contained in dairy products when you eat them before bed, so cut that last glass of milk at night.
Don't wait until you're full to stop eating. If you are sick from your huge five-course meals every day, then it's smart to cut those courses down a bit. Remember, food is energy, not comfort.
Last but not least, stay hydrated, and drink water as often as possible. You'll find that you aren't as hungry if you have plenty of water in your diet.
