Global warming? Balderdash!

When I can afford to burn the amount of energy that Al Gore's mansion burns and fly around in a private jet rather than on commercial airlines, maybe, just maybe, I'll take an interest in global warming. Nah, I doubt it.

The only link that is "beyond dispute" is that Al wants to keep burning fuel at rates that we can only imagine, while he tells the rest of us peons to conserve.

what I would like to know.. (posted by uncjohnny , Sep. 25, 2007 2:41 pm)
is what does it hurt to take precautions against 'global warming'? Why not take steps to helping our environment, just because it is right? If someone says money, I swear I will not stop laughing until I hit the grave. It is our individual responsibility as well as our National responsibility to protect that which gives us our precious resources. Why continue to abuse it at the rate we do?

http://www.firstmonday.dk/issues/issue5_10/wiggins/ Saved, why don't you go read the study at this site. Only because I get tired of that "internet" joke and I can't believe Republican rightest are using it STILL. CaptianObvious, I have to say I agree, he should have had his ducks in a row before stepping to the forefront. I am tired of the "I'm right, you're wrong" crap, it's not even about the issues anymore, just the fight. Ridiculous as that is, we are stuck with the foolishness.

Thanks to Al Gore, I can comment (posted by savedbygracealone , Sep. 25, 2007 2:41 pm)
Al Gore is just the spokesperson for (the mythical) Global Warming. I'm happy for his existance. Without him, we wouldn't have this great and wonderful internet to play on! Three Cheers!

Three cheeers for EXXON! (posted by , Sep. 25, 2007 2:41 pm)
Mission accomplished – the discussion has now focusing on Al Gore as a problem, and not global warming. Bravo Exxon’s hatchet men! Just as well really, I am tired of hearing all the asinine counterarguments to global warming put forth by rubes whose attention span equates to a gold fish. It’s one thing to slide into the environmental sewer, but the slide becomes annoying when you listen to supposed sentient primates explain it away. Goooo big oil! Keep driving them big VEE-hick-els. Rubes.

15 year wait to go green (posted by emptyhouses , Sep. 25, 2007 2:41 pm)
AL Gore first wrote about saving the planet with Earth in the Balance in 1992. His carbon offsets are given to him, he doesn't pay a cent for them. The greenies lose credibility with him as a spokesperson. It would be as if the right used Newt Gingrich to promote marital fidelity. Harldly anyone knows who Dr. Ehrlich (E. Begley Jr) is.
