Evolution a cult? Are you kidding?
After reading Rick Morrow's letter ["Evolution: A moral poison, and intolerant cult," June 3], I had to check my calendar. I thought that The Free Lance-Star was pulling an April Fool's joke on its readers.
If it isn't a joke, I can't really believe that any person not suffering from delusional thinking could ever, ever possibly conceive linking the horrible tragedy that occurred at Virginia Tech with any inane evolutionism versus creationism argument.
And, laughably and ironically, he places all those who disagree with his obviously incongruous thinking into what he calls a "religious cult" within which he alleges that "there is no room for discussion of other ideas."

I was once skeptical of calling evolution a cult.
However, after dredging up the full story, I have come to realize it takes a cult faith to believe in evolution. You will only realize this when you examine all the evidence you thought you knew so well.
Then, there's the improbability of our universe, the fine tuning, the beauty, the drama, the discovery, the complexity, of even a single cell.
For starters, read the NY Times Bestseller, 'The Case For a Creator' by Lee Strobel
It will crack your mind.
