Loretta L. Heil

Loretta L. Heil, 37, of Colonial Beach died Friday, Aug. 17, 2007.

Loretta was the manager of Ledo's Pizza in Colonial Beach. She was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Colonial Beach and very active in the American Cancer Society, as well as other community activities. She was an inspiration to all.

Survivors include her husband, John R. Heil; a son, John "Jay" Smith-Heil; her mother, Joan Lynn; her stepfather, Ray Oliff; an uncle, Joe Brown; an aunt, Ginny Bowen; and a godson, Tremaine "Man-Man" Tate, all of Colonial Beach; six other aunts; six other uncles; 22 cousins; and other family and friends.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19, at Maranatha Baptist Church, with the Rev. Marvin Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Historyland Memorial Park, King George. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18, at Nash and Slaw Funeral Home, Colonial Beach.
