Thank you to Josh, Nick, and all the others

I would like to extend my thanks to Josh Frazier, Nick Mason, and all those men and women who have served, and continue to serve, our country all around the world ["Here's a community that cares for its heroes," Aug. 8].

I want to thank the families who wait anxiously while their loved ones are far from home.

A big thanks goes out to all those who were a part of the incredible ride on June 16--those who donated supplies, time, and money. My husband and I were honored to take part in such a memorable event. We have been very fortunate to join up with a wonderful group of "bikers" who are kind and giving--the Nawty Dawg Event Team.

I would like to thank The Free Lance-Star, and especially Laura Hutchison, for not only being a part of the ride, but also the wonderful coverage.

I believe everyone was surprised by the turnout and generosity of so many. But at the same time, it reflects how wonderful this community truly is.

Being active duty Army my wife and I have lived in many different areas of the US. I can say that this is the most patriotic area we have ever been. Thank God for Soldiers and Bikers! Ride Free, Doug Cantrell Owner Big Daddy Leather
