William J. Dunn

William J. "Billy" Dunn, 73, of King George County died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007, at his home.

Mr. Dunn had retired as a pipefitter leader at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, after 30 years of service.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran with five years of service and loved to fish and boat.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah "Sally" Dunn; a stepson, Dwayne Carter of Belle Mead, N.J.; a stepdaughter, Deborah Rodriguez of San Jose, Calif.; his twin sister, June Sommers of Colonial Beach; four grandchildren; and twin great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in King George, with the Rev. Richard Carr officiating. Burial will follow in Historyland Memorial Park in King George.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, King George.
