Willie M. Trigg

Willie Milton Trigg, 57, of Spotsylvania County departed this life Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, at his residence, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Willie is survived by his wife of 27 years, Dale; daughters, Rebecca Rowe and her husband, Willie, and Laura Dye and her husband, Brian; a son, Stephen Trigg and his girlfriend, Lisa; and one grandchild, Abigail Dye. Other survivors include his sisters, Nora Trigg and Gloria Payne and her husband, Tommy; brothers, Marshall Lloyd and his wife, Willa, Jeff Lloyd, and Alex Lloyd and his wife, Kim. He also is survived by other special family, Dorothy Trigg; Aubrey and Debbie Trigg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Brock Trigg; his mother and stepfather, Susie Lloyd and Raymond Lloyd; and a brother, Kenny Wayne Trigg.

Willie loved to watch the Redskins and NASCAR, but his greatest joy was to have his family, both immediate and extended, to the house to eat, play cards and throw horseshoes. He often said that having family over were some of the best times in his life. He was a founding member of Lifepoint Church.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Spotsylvania Chapel.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, at the funeral home, with Pastor Daniel Floyd officiating. Interment will follow in the Gregory family cemetery.
