Forgit has real experience in Iraq

Philip Forgit represents our best choice for the 1st District congressional seat. Philip brings a perspective that is in short supply in Congress, that of experience on the ground in Iraq doing the hard work of transition.

He served with a Naval Special Warfare Unit as an advisor to the Iraqi army in 2005-2006. He trained Iraqis to replace American workers, a job he performed with distinction.

A Naval Reservist, Philip was mobilized from his former job as a fourth-grade teacher at Rawls Byrd Elementary in Williamsburg. After deployment, he received national recognition for his work as an educator.

Philip has reached out to the military community and assembled a strong team experienced in the BRAC process to protect military jobs in the 1st District.

He will be a strong advocate for the families of our enlisted troops and reservists while they are away. He will also fight to restore the benefits and services we all know our returning veterans deserve.

Philip Forgit will fight to protect the Chesapeake Bay and its watersheds. He will work to ensure a quality education and affordable health care for our children.

Philip does an outstanding job in everything he tackles. Let's see what someone with this commitment to service can do for us in Washington. Vote for Philip Forgit on Dec. 11.
