Community spirit and honesty do still exist. A few days ago, I went to the Four-Mile Fork shopping center to buy a curtain rod. On my way back to my car, my wallet fell out of my purse. I had no idea this had happened.
About 30 minutes later, my husband's office called and asked if I had been at the shopping center. When I said yes, they told me the cashier at the Family Dollar Store had my wallet. I rushed back to the store, and there was my wallet with my money and credit cards in it.
To the gentleman who brought the wallet to the store, I say "thank you" from the bottom of my heart. I had spent the day helping a relative who's going through a rough time, and my mind was a thousand miles away. How wonderful it is to know that there are still people who care enough to help others.
I try very hard to do random acts of kindness, and I hope many readers will do the same. I can't help but think maybe these acts came back to me yesterday.
