The number of wounded, many severely, is reported as 60,000.
I am hopeful the next U.S. president will quickly bring our troops home and end a war that even the more optimistic supporters feel is only halfway to completion.
I am sorry to say that it appears our political leaders did not learn from our war in Vietnam. History, it appears, does tend to repeat itself.
