Global warming pains the Earth
Date published: 4/22/2008 Global warming pains the Earth The planet is struggling to survive. We are causing the Earth pain beyond human understanding, pain caused by global warming. Global warming is a problem that nobody seems to care about. Sure, there are a small number of people who are trying to help out, like Al Gore. His movie, "An Inconvenient Truth," talks about how the temperatures and sea levels are rising, and the polar ice caps melting. The movie speaks the truth, but some are denying that it is true. CNN also tries to help show you how the world is changing, for the worst. The CNN show titled "Planet in Peril" says the polar bears are becoming endangered, forests are being cut down, and natural habitats are being lost. Then there is overpopulation. All of this is changing the world for the worst, and is the direct cause of global warming. There are actions we can take to help stop global warming, such as driving less, using electricity-saving products, unplugging unused electrical appliances, buying organic food, and buying a fuel-efficient car. We have the power to stop this growing problem called global warming. Grant Kuser Spotsylvania

an economic giant producing 25% of the worlds goods, but that comes at a price. We not only export goods and services, but carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, methane, fluorocarbons, etc, etc. Industrialization based on fossil fuel energy is a double edged sword.

That data may be correct (esp since "greenies" don't want
more nuclear plants), but the US is a manufacturing
powerhouse. Not fair to compare US to 3rd world countries or
developing countries. We export A LOT of goods, which go to
those countries polluting "less."

The United States CO2 emission is six times the global average per capita and 30 times that of a person living in a developing country. The US contributes 25 % of greenhouse gas emissions but we are only 9% of the world population. The buck stops here, thou China and India are on the horizon

In fact, it has yet to be demonstrated that long-term forecasting of climate is possible at all." The authors also note that the IPCC forecasters themselves are part of the unreliability problem, as political considerations influenced all stages of the IPCC process, including writing the final version expressly to reflect the language negotiated by the political appointees to the IPCC.

Out of 140 forecasting principles, 127 are relevant to the procedures used to arrive at the climate projections in the IPCC report;-- Of these, the IPCC report clearly violated almost half (60); -- An additional 12 forecasting principles appear to be violated, and there is insufficient information in the report to assess the use of 38 others; therefore-- Only 17 out of 127 applicable forecasting principles can be shown to have been followed by the IPCC.
