Timothy R. Baker of Forestville, Md., formerly of Caroline County, departed this life on Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at Crescent City Nursing Home in Riverdale, Md., after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.
He was born Feb. 29, 1950, to the late Profit Baker and Carrie Baker of Woodford. He attended Caroline County public schools.
He joined hands with the Lord at an early age and attended Macedonia Baptist Church under the leadership of the the Rev. M.L. Johnson and the late Rev. William Brown.
Timothy leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Carol Baker of Forestville; his mother, Carrie Baker of Woodford; four brothers, Walter and his wife, Gloria, of Woodford, Joseph Coleman of Capitol Heights, Md., Ervin and his wife, Carlene, of Woodford, and Profit and his wife, Rita, of Washington, D.C.; three sisters, Arterita Brown and her husband, Joseph, the Rev. Ocellia Lewis and her husband, James, and Charity Baker, all of Woodford; his children, Carol Brown and Timothy Baker of Fredericksburg, Corey Green of Woodford, LaShawn Dabney and her husband, Jonathan, of Dale City, Patrice Overton of Washington, D.C., Patrice Baker of Forestville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; five aunts, Drucilla Bates, Gladys Reynolds, Mary Graves and her husband, John, and Lessie Reynolds, all of Woodford, Helen Reynolds of Philadelphia, Pa.; and three uncles, Lloyd Baker and his wife, Geneva, of Woodford, Bernard Reynolds of Fredericksburg and Charles Reynolds of Maryland.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, at Life Changing Church, 4598 Beech Road, Temple Hills, Md. The viewing will be one hour prior to the service.
