Shizuko Tashiro Benton, 85, of Madisonville, Tenn., died Friday, April 18, 2008, at the East Tennessee Health Care Center in Madison-ville.
Mrs. Benton was born in Japan, and was preceded in death by her husband, Oren D. Benton. She was very respectful, kindhearted and grateful for anything anyone did for her. Toward the end of her life, she accepted the Lord as her personal savior.
She is survived by three daughters, Dorothy Wilkerson, Dale Dutrow and Donna Pastell and her husband, Scott; and six grandchildren, Scotty, Kerrie, Brandon, and Kristen Pastell, Blake and Ryan Dutrow.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, in Oak Hill Cemetery.
