Chargers gain Battlefield lead

Chancellor held off King George's late rally to take sole possession of first place in the Battlefield District softball standings with a 4-3 win yesterday.

Melanie Glassford pitched a complete game and was 2-for-4 for Chancellor (9-4, 4-1).

Katelyn Mehl went the distance for King George (5-9, 3-2) and was 2-for-3. Mackenzie Thomas had an RBI and a run scored for the Foxes.

Parker added two assists J.D. Walker had four goals and three assists for North Stafford (7-4, 6-2). Randy Gregorious and Joe Schlosser scored twice each for Stafford (4-6).
