Fredericksburg and Colonial Beach companies named as among fastest-growing in state

A government contractor based in Westmoreland County and a vinyl manufacturing company headquartered in Spotsylvania County were recognized this week as among the state's fastest-growing companies.

Imagine One Technology & Management Ltd. and Mid Atlantic Vinyl Products Inc. were each named this week to the Virginia Chamber of Commerce's 2008 "Fantastic Fifty" list of 50 of the fastest-growing companies in the state.

The companies were judged on a four-year sales history. Eligible companies must be privately held, headquartered in Virginia and have sales between $200,000 and $100 million.

Imagine One finished No. 26 on the list. Started in 1998 in Port Royal, Imagine One now has almost 200 employees and $14.9 million in annual revenues, according to its Web site. Now based in Colonial Beach, Imagine One is under contract to six major government agencies and 20 corporate clients.

Mid Atlantic Vinyl was No. 42 on the list. The company, founded in 1996, is based off U.S. 1 just north of Massaponax Church Road in Spotsylvania. The company makes outdoor vinyl products including fencing, railing and decking.
