A fight over a man's wedding ring left him scarred by his attackers yesterday afternoon in Alum Spring Park.

Fredericksburg police report that the man was walking his dog when the first suspect asked for change. The suspect started swinging a knife at him and a second suspect struck him on the head.

While on the ground the victim was cut several times on the arms and leg as the ring was pulled from his finger. The injuries were not life-threatening.

Both suspects ran toward U.S. 1.

The first suspect is a white man in his mid-40's with a dark tan and a tattoo with script writing on the right side of his neck. He's about five-feet, ten-inches tall with short brown hair.

The second suspect is about six-feet, one-inch tall, 200 pounds with short dark hair.
