Denise B. Ingram

Denise Briggs "Dee Dee" Ingram, 45, of Port Royal died Thursday, May 8, 2008, at her home.

Dee Dee was a longtime resident of the Fredericksburg area.

Survivors include her husband, Erik Ingram; two sons, Jacob and Jeremiah Atkins; a grandson, Nicholas; her parents, Richard and Virginia Briggs; five sisters, Vickie Headley and her husband, Roy, Debra Hicks and her fiance, Kevin, Sharel Boyle and her husband, Hugh, Stacey Ellis and her husband, John, and Suzann Irvin and her husband, Will; two brothers, Ronnie Briggs and his wife, Wynetha, and Robin Briggs and his wife, Brenda; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard E. Briggs Jr., and a nephew, Jesse.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg, with the Rev. R. Kenneth Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 9, at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Trudy Clifton, 113 Tallpines Ave., Locust Grove, Va. 22508; or to the Greater Fredericksburg Area SPCA, 1523 Olde William St., Fredericksburg, Va. 22401.
