Christine D. Sawyer

Christine D. Sawyer, 63, of Partlow died Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at her home.

Mrs. Sawyer had recently retired as Deputy Commissioner of Revenue in Caroline County after 28 years of service.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Robert J. Sawyer; a daughter, Robin S. Frary and her husband, Scott, of Chesterfield County; three sons, Robert J. Sawyer Jr. and his wife, Kelly, of Boston, Mass., Jonathan C. Sawyer and his wife, Rebecca, of Silver Spring, Md., and David M. Sawyer and his wife, Denna, of Waynesboro; 12 grandchildren; a sister, Jeanne Geier of Puerto Rico; a brother, William Geier of Lynchburg; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Matthew J. Sawyer.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 31, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, May 30, at the funeral home.
