Joseph P. Michela

Joseph P. Michela, 49, of Colonial Beach, formerly of Damascus, Md., died Tuesday, May 27, 2008, in King George County.

He was employed with AT Solutions in Fredericksburg. He was a member of the Colonial Beach American Legion and was a lifelong member of the VFW.

Survivors include his life companion, Katherine Buracker; his mother, Alice; his brothers, Frank, John, Jim and Peter; and five grandchildren who knew him as "Joe Joe."

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 2, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, Colonial Beach. Burial will follow in Historyland Memorial Park in King George.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at the funeral home.
