Date published: 6/4/2008 Carolyn D. Brann Carolyn D. Brann, 79, of Fredericksburg peacefully passed on Monday, June 2, 2008, at Mary Washington Hospital. She was a native of Westmoreland County and the daughter of the late Stanley B. Dawson and Alice English Dawson. Mrs. Brann was a member of Fredericksburg United Methodist Church and a former member of the Fredericksburg Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, Curtis B. Brann; her children, Benjamin Brann and his wife, Cathy, of Stafford County, Larry "Eddie" Brann and his wife, Denise, and Wayne E. Brann and his wife, Dori, all of Spotsylvania, and Carol Ann Reichling and her husband, Mel, of Annandale; her seven grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Angela Carter, Joey Brann, Catey Brann, Christopher Brann, Jennifer Brann, Alie Reichling and Chad Brann; a brother-in-law, Raymond Dameron of Fredericksburg; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Marjorie Dameron. A funeral will be held Friday, June 6, at 2 p.m., at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg, with the Rev. Nancy Compher and the Rev. Jay Luther officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 5, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
