Power went out on the south side of the town of Culpeper during an electrical storm last night shortly before 8 o’clock. Service still had not been restored as of 10:45 p.m.
According to town officials, the Dominion Virginia Power transmission line failed in the Stevensburg–Lignum area, at about the same location as two previous failures within the past few days. But this outage appeared more widespread than outages last Wednesday and Saturday.
