Two new principals named for Stafford

Robert Freeman, who has been Widewater Elementary School's principal since 2004, has been named Ferry Farm Elementary's next principal.

Freeman started with the Stafford County school system in 2002 as an assistant principal at Moncure Elementary. He has also been a middle school principal and special education teacher in Prince William County.

He has a master's degree in education from George Mason University.

Also named to a new position is Kristin McKinney-Nash. She has been named Widewater Elementary's principal after six years as the school's assistant principal.

McKinney-Nash, who has worked for Stafford schools for 16 years, has also been a summer school administrator, kindergarten teacher and special education teacher.

She has a master's degree in administration and supervision from Virginia Commonwealth University.
