Easi-Set Industries in Midland welcomes Frederic "Rick" Beck to its Slenderwall sales team in the position of sales manager. He will introduce architects, engineers and representatives of the construction industry to Slenderwall with the goal of making it the No. 1 choice for precast architectural cladding systems.

G.L.M.G. Inc. General Contractors announces it was recently awarded the contract for construction of Surgical Associates of Fredericksburg, a new medical office building of approximately 14,047 square feet located in Spotsylvania County.

G. William Beale of Woodford has been appointed by Gov. Timothy M. Kaine to a four-year term on the board of directors of the Virginia Economic Development Partnership. Beale is president and chief executive officer of Bowling Green-based Union Bankshares Corp.

Union Bankshares Corp. announces that Lori Hyatt has been promoted to assistant vice president, bank card services manager; Tracy Baber was promoted to assistant vice president, deposit services manager; and John Schmidt was promoted to retail administration officer.
