Marine Museum adds war photos
The National Museum of the Marine Corps hosts "Ghosts in the Landscape: Vietnam Revisited," a traveling photographic exhibit by former Marine Craig J. Barber, starting today and continuing through mid-September.
Barber spent 20 months in Vietnam during combat. He returned three times in 1995, covering many of his former military routes with an 8-by-10 pinhole camera to capture the 46 prints that make up the exhibit. Today, Barber is recognized as one of America's premier landscape photographers.
The National Museum of the Marine Corps is at 18900 Jefferson Davis Highway, Triangle. It is open to the public for free from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Christmas. For details, visit usmcmuseum .org on the Web.
