SPOTSYLVANIA

The Planning Commission meets Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Holbert Building on Courthouse Road, Commissioners have five public hearings. The subjects of the hearings can be found online at spotsylvania.va.us.

The School Board meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday at 8020 River Stone Drive.

STAFFORD

The Board of Supervisors meets Tuesday at 1 p.m., followed by a public hearing at at 7 p.m., at the County Administration Center, 1300 Courthouse Road. The board will discuss campaign finance guidelines and there will be a preliminary budget year-end report for fiscal 2008. During the public hearing, the board will consider amending the zoning ordinance to prohibit commercial apartments within certain zoning districts.

The Planning Commission meets Wednesday at 5:30 p.m., followed by a public hearing at 7:30 p.m., at the County Administration Center, 1300 Courthouse Road.

KING GEORGE

The Board of Supervisors meets Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Revercomb Building. The Public Service and Wireless authorities meet beforehand, at 6 p.m.

ORANGE COUNTY

The School Board meets Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Taylor Education Administration Complex, 200 Dailey Drive, Orange. The board will discuss the fiscal 2008 carryover and will receive information on the new middle school construction, child care program, fundraising for the New Millennium Sports Committee and the 2009 AYP report.

TOWN OF ORANGE

The Town Council meets Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the Town of Orange Community Center, 235 Warren St. The council will hold a work session to develop goals, objectives and a work plan for the coming year.

CULPEPER COUNTY

The Board of Supervisors meets at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the County Administration Building, 302 N. Main St., to discuss general business. The board reconvenes at 7 p.m. to take up Planning Commission referrals.

WESTMORELAND

The Planning Commission meets at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the A.T. Johnson Museum.

COLONIAL BEACH

The School Board meets at 6 p.m. Wednesday at its office at 16 N. Irving Ave.

The Town Council meets at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Town Center.
