Fannie Mae Peregoy

Fannie Mae Peregoy, 97, of King George County died Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, at Mary Washington Hospital.

Mrs. Peregoy was born Feb. 15, 1911, at Green Heights in King George. She was the daughter of the late G.W. and Alice Virginia Dodd. Fannie Mae was a longtime member of Mountain View Baptist Church in King George, and was the widow of Floyd W. Peregoy.

Survivors include her two daughters, Phyllis Johnson and Alice Van Valzah and her husband, Robert, all of King George; two grandsons, Gregory Johnson and his wife, Carolyn, and Robert Van Valzah and his wife, Sarah, all of Spotsylvania County; three great-grandchildren, Alex, Drew and Lauren Van Valzah; and several special nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, at Mountain View Baptist Church with the Rev. Keith Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 1, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
