A vehicle violation lands a Fredericksburg man in jail for having a lot of marijunana.

24 year-old Nathaniel Daye was stopped early Thursday morning by a Spotsylvania County Deputy and Daye consented to a search of his car. That's when the deputy came across 2 bags in the trunk that had about 19 pounds of pot. As Daye was being patted down a small bag of marijuana fell from his waist band.

A search warrant was executed at his Innisbrook Circle home where 5 more pounds of the stuff were found along with a small amount of cocaine, some ecstasy pills, scales, a hand gun and bullet proof vest.

Daye is in the Rappahannock Regional Jail being held without bail.
