Good Samaritan came to the aid of us two
On Aug. 12, my brother and I were driving north on Interstate 95 when we had a front tire blow-out.
A nice man drove up behind us and changed our tire for us. He then directed us to follow him to the off ramp at exit 126, and then to White Tire on Mine Road.
My brother and I are seniors, and I am disabled, so imagine how grateful we were to this man. He wouldn't take any money that I offered--only a handshake.
I can't think of any other way to thank that nice man for his help, so I thought I would acknowledge his kindness in your newspaper.

It's good to read letters about caring people and thankful
people.

most people seem to be, it is refreshing to read a story like this. The other good news is that an act of kindness does create a ripple effect.
I try to believe in KARMA and the philosophy of Christ.

The philosophical explanation of karma can differ slightly
between traditions, but the general concept is basically the
same. Through the law of karma, the effects of all deeds
actively create past, present, and future experiences, thus
making one responsible for one's own life, and the pain and
joy it brings to him/her and others. The results or 'fruits' of
actions are called karma-phala.

This is a story that we need to hear. Both you and the
Good Samaritan are to be commended for "making
history." In the Bible story and in yours, the follow-up
by this man was just as important as the initial act to
help. Your story points us in the right direction.
