Time for a 'new Day' in Washington

I recently met Bill Day, who is running to represent the 1st District of Virginia in the House of Representatives.

I'm impressed with his positions on issues such as stopping the waste of tax dollars by giving tax breaks and credits to the super-rich, large corporations, and the oil companies that have made obscene profits.

His opponent, Rep. Rob Wittman, is so hypnotized by the ideological mantra of "no new spending" that he voted against expanding the veterans' G.I. bill, while voting to keep tax breaks for wealthy individuals and corporations who ship jobs overseas.

Bill Day uses his spare time to help others--by building houses for the needy with Habitat for Humanity and Mend a House. After Hurricane Katrina, he traveled several times to Mississippi to help the folk there.

Please vote for Bill Day on Nov. 4. Enough is enough of this perverse, reverse Robin Hood madness--taking from the middle class in order to give to the rich.
