Air Force Airman Gilbert Adams has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Gilbert Adams Sr. of Stafford County.

Air Force Airman Antonique M. Mosby has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. She is the daughter of Juanita Carey of Stafford County and is a 2008 graduate of Colonial Forge High School.

Army Reserve Pvt. Andrew M. Adams has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. He is the son of Carmen Arroyo of Stafford County.

Army Capt. Katie Thomen, daughter of David and Bonnie Thomen of Stafford County, recently deployed to Iraq for a 12-month tour of duty. She is attached to the 91st MP Battalion. Following her tour, she will attend a course at the Defense Language School in Monterey, Calif. Thomen is a 2001 graduate of North Stafford High School and a 2005 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

Army National Guard Pfc. David A. Evans has been mobilized and activated for deployment overseas to a forward operating base in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Evans, a military policeman, is normally assigned to the 266th Military Police Company, Manassas. He is the son of Jenny S. Carmichael of Stafford County.
