U CHRISTIAN MONSIVAIS Stafford senior

Monsivais had a record-setting year at Stafford--he rushed for 707 yards and 12 TDs and passed for 2,188 yards.

WR ANTHONY JOHNSON Mountain View sophomore

This impressive 6-foot-3 wideout was second in the area with 56 catches and third in the area with 859 receiving yards for six TDs.

QB BRIAN HUDSON Brooke Point senior

Accuracy was this senior's calling card--he hit on 140 of 210 passing attempts (66.7 percent) for 2,137 yards and 23 touchdowns.

OL DENNIS WAGNER Chancellor senior

Wagner, a 6-foot-3, 285-pound guard, has been a fixture on the Chargers' line. This year he was an all-Region I first-team selection.

OL STEVEN CONNOR Chancellor senior

Connor was a unanimous all-Battlefield District selection and a second-team Region I choice for his play at tackle for Chancellor.

OL NICK SOMICH Colonial Forge senior

Somich was voted to the Commonwealth District first team at tackle, after paving the way up front for the Eagles.

OL DESHAWN VIERS Colonial Beach senior

A key blocker for the Drifters, who ran for 2,500 yards and earned their second straight Tidewater District championship.

RB DOMINIQUE WALLACEChancellor senior

The Battlefield District and Region I offensive player of the year carried the ball for 1,893 yards and 31 TDs.

RB DEXTER McDOUGLE Stafford senior

A second-team all-region pick, McDougle rushed for 457 yards and eight TDs, and had 11 receiving scores.

OL KRIS GANT Brooke Point senior

Gant was a first-team all-region pick on both sides of the ball. At guard, he's been a key blocker for a 2,000-yard rushing team.

K ZACH HODGEN Brooke Point senior

Hodgen led all area kickers in scoring, with 56 points. That included 44 extra points and four field goals, with a long of 35 yards.

RB STEVEN STROTHER Eastern View senior

Strother led the Fredericksburg area with 1,967 rushing yards on 191 carries and had 26 touchdowns for the first-year Cyclones.

RB CHASE BARNETT Brooke Point senior

Though Barnett missed three games, he still was the area's fourth best rusher, with 1,406 yards. He was the Commonwealth's offensive player of the year.

KR DeVONTAE ATKINS James Monroe senior

His three-TD performance in the state final punctuated a season in which he scored TDs returning kicks, punts, interceptions, as a receiver and as a runner.

OL Prentiss Twiggs, Caroline--The Cavaliers' top o-lineman.

OL Justin Green, Courtland--An all-district tackle for Cougars.

OL John Cundiff, Colonial Forge--All-Region second team pick.

OL Nick Martin, Brooke Point--Blocked for impressive run game.

OL Demetrius Cox, Colonial Forge--First team all-district selection.

K Josh Hildebrand, Massaponax--Hit 40-yard field goal in 2008.

KR Quinton Broaddus, Caroline--Caught passes, strong DB, too.
