Ousted UMW president William Frawley sentenced in Maryland DUI case
Ousted University of Mary Washington President William Frawley received three years’ supervised probation Thursday in Montgomery County (Md.) District Court on drunken driving charges, a court official said yesterday.
Frawley pleaded not guilty but was sentenced to “probation before judgment,” which means Frawley can have the charge expunged from his record if he completes the terms of his probation.
Frawley was charged with drunken driving in Montgomery County on April 10, 2008, exactly a year after the first of two driving under the influence arrests, in Fairfax and Fredericksburg, that led to his firing at UMW.
