Richard Irving Berry, 49, of Fredericksburg died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
Born Aug. 3, 1959, in Charlottesville, he was the son of the late Fray Irving Berry and Annie Morris Berry. He was a retired building carpenter.
He is survived by three uncles, Frank Berry of Manassas, George Berry of New Jersey, and Walter Morris of Pennsylvania; two aunts, Margie Carter of Earlysville, and Ruth Middleton of Orange County; and numerous cousins and many special friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at Preddy Funeral Chapel, Orange. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m.
