"European Perspectives on the Civil War," Monday, June 8, Brock's Riverside Grill, 508 Sophia St., downtown Fredericksburg. The monthly meeting of the Rappahannock Valley Civil War Round Table is open to the public. Lee Stone will be the speaker. "Ferry Farm and Pine Grove: In the Path of the Union Army," Friday, June 12, 7 p.m., first of Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park's free Friday-night "History at Sunset" programs. Historian John Hennessy and archeologist Paul Nasca will lead the tour on land where George Washington grew up and Union soldiers later fought. Flag Day Extravaganza, Saturday, June 13, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., National Museum of Civil War Medicine, 48 East Patrick St., Frederick, Md. Docent Bob Hartman will present stories of the almost 5,000 flags that were utilized during the Civil War on both sides.
