IT'S HUNTING SEASON DOWNTOWN

Itty Bitty City scavenger hunt inside today's paper

Date published: 6/14/2009

By LAURA L. HUTCHISON

Look for information on the fifth annual Itty Bitty City Scavenger Hunt on an ad wrapper inside today's paper.

Sponsored by Shop Fred and presented by The Free Lance-Star, the scavenger hunt invites readers to stroll through downtown Fredericksburg, looking for the 20 items or architectural elements pictured in the clues on the ad wrapper.

Make note of what the object is and where you found it. Once you've found them all, drop the completed entry form at The Free Lance-Star office on Amelia Street or at the visitor center on Caroline Street, or fill out an entry form online at fredericksburg.com.

Entries with all objects correctly identified will be entered in a drawing for fabulous prizes.

This year, you have the whole summer to hunt. Entry forms are due at 5 p.m. Sept. 8.

And if you get stuck, don't worry. We'll help you out. We'll publish six different hints, somewhere in each Wednesday's Free Lance-Star between June 17 and Sept. 2.

Happy hunting!

itty bitty city online entry form (posted by Dennis_Ingram , Sep. 8, 2009 12:50 pm)
I had a very hard time finding the online form. Here is the url: http://www.fredericksburg.com/News/ittybittycity/insertEntry Your website should make it more accessible.

Enter On-line (posted by buskettigirl , July 26, 2009 8:51 am)
Would be nice if the link for entering the contest on-line was included somewhere in the article, or at least a button/tab on the website so folks may enter their answers.
