The Culpeper County Board of Supervisors is looking for a dozen residents to fill vacancies on eight county boards and committees.

According to Supervisor Sue Hansohn, it is getting harder to find residents willing to volunteer for these boards and committees, which act as advisers to the Board of Supervisors.

"We really need good people for these appointments," said Hansohn.

The following appointments expire in 2009 and need filling:

One position on the Agricultural Resource Advisory Committee.

One position on the Economic Development Advisory Commission.

One position on the Disability Services Board.

Two positions on the Economic Development Authority.

One position on the Germanna Community College board.

Four positions on the Human Services Board.

One position on the Public Transportation Board.

One position on the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board of the Area Agency on Aging.

For more information or to volunteer, call Debbie Hoffman at the Culpeper County Administration Building at 540/272-3427 or visit culpepercounty.gov.
