Drill set at Stafford hospital

June 19, 2009 12:36 am

Stafford hospital will practice emergency

If you see flashing lights and fire trucks outside Stafford Hospital Center tomorrow, don't worry. It's a drill.

Hospital staff and Stafford County Fire & Rescue will hold an emergency exercise at the new building from 8 a.m. to noon.

The drill will involve mock patients and will take place on one of the upper floors that's not being used.

"It's going to be as real as possible without the fire and smoke," said Mahogany Hart, spokeswoman for the Stafford Hospital Center.

Hospital officials are trying to spread the word about the exercise so passers-by on U.S. 1 will not fear for their loved ones.

The hospital will be open during the drill, and all of the usual services will be available.
