Paul Milde is an excellent leader

Date published: 7/3/2009

Paul Milde is an excellent leader

I write to bring attention to the sterling leadership shown by one of our Stafford County supervisors.

Paul Milde is well-known as the founder and chairman of SaveCrowsNest.com, a project that is moving toward a successful conclusion that will benefit not only Stafford County residents, but the many visitors to our area.

Paul always brings his energy, tenacity, and persistence to helping local residents, too.

Until a couple of months ago, I was president of the Poplar Hills Homeowners' Association in Brooke.

In that capacity, I brought to Supervisor Milde's attention a serious neighborhood drainage problem that caused health and safety concerns to Poplar Hills residents.

Paul worked tirelessly on our behalf with both county officials and VDOT.

VDOT responded to his persistence with a repair that is now in place.

The residents are very pleased, having been concerned about the issue for a number of years.

I offer my thanks to VDOT and to Supervisor Paul Milde for his personal involvement in our local problem. This is the kind of leadership we need as Stafford County moves forward.

Paul Milde is running for re-election in November. He has my vote. I hope that others who read this will re-elect a caring, hard-working, and exceptional county supervisor.

Robert M. Taylor

Wrong on Public Safety and Gun Rights (posted by GeddyGuy , July 25, 2009 5:40 pm)
I think his extensive criminal past would seriously color his attitude toward law enforcement--which is an important issue for me. Als, as a convicted felon, he is prohibited under Federal law from possessing firearms, so how could he speak to Second Amendment issues?

Milde Is The Worst Of Both Worlds (posted by NickDanger , July 3, 2009 10:12 am)
Not only is he a convicted ex-con and jailbird, he is also rabidly partisan for whom every issue is a D vs. R issue. He also seems to be perpetually angry. BTW, as him who "Jane Stafford" is re the petition drive re the at-large sup member issue!

Wow, I just read about CONVICTED FELON PAUL MILDE! (posted by Chiswald , July 3, 2009 10:03 am)
Two felonious arrests 8 years apart! A six year prison sentence! Drug dealing! Burglary! Good Lord!

Not a public safety advocate (posted by KarlChilders , July 3, 2009 7:41 am)
A big concern I have about Mr. Milde is that he seems very anti-public safety. I have noticed this while watching several BOS meetings. I think the residents of Brooke should also be concerned about this. A few months ago there was a house fire in that area that the citizens had to wait over 10 minutes for a firetruck to show up!
