Bettie L. Peyton, 73, of Colonial Beach died Thursday, July 2, 2009, at Westmoreland Rehabilitation and Heathcare Center.
She is survived by five sons, Donald, Sterling, Charles, William and Joseph; six daughters, Violet, Emma, Phyllistine, Brenda, Bertha and Ruby; 24 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchilderen; and two great-great-grandchildren. She also is survived by one sister, Rosie Richards, and one brother, James Peyton.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 9, at Good Hope Baptist Church, King George, with the Rev. Robert Williams officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
